Two $1,500 Scholarships Available for Students Who Show their Commitment to Stop Distracted Driving.

Deadline: April 27, 2018 (Applications must be submitted before midnight)

The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) data shows that in 2013, 424,000 people were injured in personal injury car crashes involving a distracted driver which was a 10% increase since 2011.  Nearly 1 in 5 car accidents in the US involved a distracted driver.  A total of 3,154 people were killed in accidents because of distracted driving.  Drivers age 15 to 19 caused the highest number of fatal car crashes due to distracted driving.  The above is the most recent data currently available, but it appears that distracted driving is getting even worse.  These are sobering statistics that we hope to change with your help.
